Sebum production actually decreased<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-custom-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-custom-color-5-background-color has-background is-style-wide\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--superbspacing-xsmall);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--superbspacing-xsmall)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a 2025 study, after using Winlevi Cream for 12 weeks, <strong>average sebum measurements in human skin decreased by 27%.<\/strong><sup><a style=\"color: inherit;\" href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/40682762\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although it is an exploratory study observing 40 individuals without a control group, the observation of sebum reduction in human skin is significant.<sup><a style=\"color: inherit;\" href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/40682762\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This stands in contrast to topical retinoids like Differin Gel. Despite Differin Gel having a very similar active ingredient to isotretinoin, often called a &#8220;sebum regulator,&#8221; it has not been proven to reduce sebum levels in human skin studies.<sup><a style=\"color: inherit;\" href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/17309452\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">4<\/a><\/sup> The primary mechanism by which Differin Gel improves acne is presumed to be normalizing follicular keratinocyte shedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"sec-3\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. How to use<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-custom-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-custom-color-5-background-color has-background is-style-wide\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--superbspacing-xsmall);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--superbspacing-xsmall)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Apply a thin layer to the affected area twice daily, in the morning and evening.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The amount to apply is based on the <strong>FTU (Finger-Tip Unit)<\/strong>. Pregnancy \u00b7 breastfeeding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-custom-color-5-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-custom-color-5-background-color has-background is-style-wide\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--superbspacing-xsmall);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--superbspacing-xsmall)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to limited data on safety during pregnancy, <strong>it cannot be used if you are pregnant<\/strong>. If pregnancy is discovered during use, it should be discontinued immediately, and if pregnancy is planned, your doctor should be informed before starting treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Caution is required during lactation.<\/strong> Although the topical medication has not been confirmed to transfer to the baby through breast milk, its safety if transferred has not been verified.
