Why I Began Treating Dermatitis
It Began with Bedsore Treatment
Before opening MIRAGEN Clinic, the biggest challenge I faced while running a nursing hospital was preventing and treating pressure sores.
I researched and developed mattresses using MRI and pressure sensors, as well as devices that automatically reposition patients, and documented that work on my blog.
That led to inquiries from companies proposing joint research.
I Gained Confidence in Growth Factors
With one of those companies, we tried using growth factors to manage pressure sores.
The results were better than expected. We also obtained good results when we applied the same approach to skin damaged by radiation and chemotherapy.
I became convinced that growth factors could help address various skin problems. I then transferred the nursing hospital and opened this clinic at its current location.
The First Atopic Dermatitis Treatment Concluded in 5 Sessions
Soon after opening, our first patient with atopic dermatitis came to the clinic, and we completed treatment in five sessions.
Thanks to the review that patient posted in an atopic dermatitis community, more patients with atopic dermatitis, rosacea, and seborrheic dermatitis began visiting us.
“I’m glad I found this place.”
Currently, approximately 40% of our patients visit from distant areas such as Jeju Island, Busan, and Mokpo. To accommodate those traveling from afar, we are also open on Sundays.
We promise to reciprocate your trust with heartfelt care, ensuring that any initial ‘Will it be okay?’ transforms into ‘I’m glad I found this place.’
